Covid 19 Updates

Confirming, Cancelling, or Postponing Appointments + Pre-Screening

One week prior to your appointment, I will be sending you a reminder/confirmation email.  However, new in this email will be a requirement for you to reply to the email with confirmation that you have completed the BC COVID-19 self-assessment and that you have answered “no” to all of the questions at that point in time. If you answer “yes” to any of the screening questions, we will adjust the appointment accordingly and take any other additional measures as may be necessary. Moreover, the day prior to your appointment, I will call you to ask you those same screening questions and if all is well, we can re-confirm your appointment for the following day.  Finally, upon your arrival at the clinic, we will once again go through the screening questions to ensure we can safely proceed with your treatment.

Cleaning and Sanitization

Prior to your arrival, all possible contact points in the entry way, washroom, and clinic space will be completely and thoroughly sanitized with anti-viral/anti-microbial products approved by Health Canada as effective agents against COVID-19. As always, you will have fresh linens including sheets, face cradle covers, pillowcases, hand towels, and blankets.  As an extra layer of protection, I will be covering the face cradle with a disposable cover.

Arrival for your Appointment

Please do not arrive earlier than 5 minutes prior to your appointment time. I schedule sufficient time in between patients in order for me to sanitize all patient-accessed spaces, and I require this time to ensure I am 100% ready for you. I do realize that traffic and travel times might find you here before your designated appointment time, but please try to be as close to your appointment time as possible as I will not be able to accept you into the clinic sooner than your designated appointment time.

Therefore, I ask that you please wait in your car or wander around the front garden until I open the front door for you.  Upon entry, I will ask for you to either proceed to the washroom to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer prior to entering the treatment room.

Speaking of doors, to minimize your contact with surfaces, I shall open and close all doors for you both at the beginning and end of your treatment.

Social Distancing and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

For all non-contact portions of your treatment, we will appropriately maintain the 6 feet social distancing measures.

YOU the patient:  If you have your own mask, please wear it upon your arrival. If you do not have your own mask, I will have a mask available for you. If your treatment requires you to be face down on the massage table, you are welcome to remove it for this portion of the treatment. Please know that I will be paying extreme attention to sanitization procedures in and around the face cradle area of the massage table.

ME the therapist: I shall be wearing a mask plus a face shield, and although COVID-19 does not transmit through skin, as an extra precaution for you and me, I may be wearing gloves for your treatment.  Additionally, I shall be wearing a fresh shirt or apron for each patient.
